Sorry about that Andrew, but yes I agree that the fit between Anderson and the stop-motion animation was fine.

Sam:

I wouldn't call myself a Dahl aficionado, but I definitely find his stance towards children and childhood appealing. And while I was speaking more about the fit between Anderson and the stop-motion animation, the match of Anderson and Dahl also seemed like a good fit.

Andrew, you have really hit a home run here with this review. I am a huge fan of Roald Dahl, so much so in fact that I once directed a fourth-grade play in my school district of his masterpiece, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. And I agree with you that the Dahl-Anderson collaboration here is a perfect fit, as well as standing with you on the conviction that this is not really a children's film. In fact what Dahl book is really just for kids, or which one can trly be appreciated by the young readers with all the up front and veiled satire. Yeah that cuss/swear words observation is quite true. As much as I liked this film (and I rated it with a 4/5, I thought the final third lagged.

And yes Andrew, there was no funnier line in the film that the one that asserts 'at the end of teh day it's jump another dead rat in a dumpster behind a Chinese restaurant!

Priceless.
