[...] Andrew Wyatt has penned yet another top-rank, marvelous review, and this time his focus is on the wondrous How to Train Your Dragon. I just read it myself, and was dazzled:    http://gatewaycinephiles.com/2010/04/20/the-wyrm-and-his-boy/ [...]

Wonderful review here of a film I completely share your love for and surely the best animated feature ever for Dreamworks. I like those two sub heads at the outset that categorize the film. I also concur that there's a deep emotional core, with follows in the time-worn path of fairy tales, and the film isn't compromises by cloying humor, except ofr the banter you noted between teenage Vikings.

I love your dead-on description of the evocative art direction and colorful details, and yes I am in complete agreement about Toothless, who immediately takes his play among the most adored animated characters.

This is a big winner, and sure to finish among the year's best films.
