Film Diaries

Cinephiles who wish to add a Film Diary entry to the Gateway Cinephiles blog should follow the following formatting template:

Post Title: Film Diary: [Film title]
Post Contents:
[Year film was released in the format XXXX]
Director: [Name or Names]
Viewed: [Date you viewed the film in the format Month XX, XXXX]
Format: [”Theatrical Print”; “DVD”; “Videocassette”; or the name of the television channel. If a DVD or video, the format is followed by a hyphen, the name of the studio that released the DVD or video, and the year the specific version of the DVD or video you watched was released. These can be looked up on Amazon if you are uncertain.]

These vital statistics are all that are required. If you wish, you can follow the stat block with a space and then add comments of no more than one hundred words. More extensive commentary or reviews should be added as a full Review or Essay post.

Don’t forget to tag the entry with your Film Diary category, as well as the Film Diary categories for any other Cinephiles who viewed the film with you.

Please note that in order to produce a single line break–as a opposed to new paragraph–in the WordPress editor, you must type SHIFT-ENTER rather than ENTER.

The Webmasters reserve the right to edit Film Diary posts in order to ensure that they comply with the formatting guidelines.
